"What is the difference between being a CDP Company Dancer and a Showcase Dancer?
Our Season 5 cast is an open family of all levels of dancers, from the beginner to the professional. It is a weekly 90 minute rehearsal per piece that you are cast in, solely dedicated to putting together one piece for our showcase on November 23. That season lasts from auditions on Aug 25 until the showcase on Nov 23. There is a $50 membership fee/tuition for these dancers to cover rehearsal space and performance costs.
CDP company is an opportunity for the pre-professional/professional dancer to continue to grow, train, and perform in a more professional setting. We rehearse 3 hours/week on Sundays with half of that dedicated to technique/training and the other half towards building repertoire. We perform in the CDP showcases, but also do smaller shows in the area and local gigs. This is a 6 month or year-long contract position. Because we are a newer company this is not a paid gig YET, but we do offer perks to our members including free master classes, free injury screens, free membership for our CDP Showcases, and free headshots.
You can do both! More info about company below:
