CLEVELAND DANCE PROJECT SEASON 14 OPEN AUDITION REGISTRATION
Auditions for our Season 14 Showcase are on Sunday August 25 at Cleveland Dance Project (5505 Valley Belt Rd) with parking on site. Our showcase is on Saturday November 23, tentatively at Medina High School PAC, with tech and dress the evenings of 11/21 & 11/22. AGES 18+ ONLY.
BEFORE AUDITIONS, it is MANDATORY that you watch choreographer/piece bios online to familiarize yourself with the showcase pieces to rank your preferences at time of check in at auditions. Preference form, choreographer videos, bios, and rehearsal schedule will be posted on our website by early August. For the preference form, do NOT rank any dances whose rehearsals you cannot attend, but we do encourage you to rank as many dances as you can in order to increase your likelihood of being cast. With so many dancers auditioning in the past few seasons, we cannot guarantee casting for everyone. There is a 3 dance max/dancer. Casting will be announced by August 28. Rehearsals will start September 5.
Our auditions are broken down by level so that dancers are being appropriately challenged. If you are uncertain which level you are best fit for, send us an email with your dance background or a video and we will place you!
IF you are someone who gets nervous at auditions, we will post breakdowns of the audition combo so you can peek at it, and try to teach yourself ahead of time (if you want!). We will also still teach combos as normal at auditions, so if you don’t have time to pre-learn, you’ll be fine!
Tuition is $100 per piece and covers a full season of weekly rehearsals, 2 shows, $15 per costume, plus life-long friendships and valuable local connections. It’s the best deal in town! If you cannot afford this - we do offer Need-Based Talent Scholarships and Minority Scholarships that will cover the dancer’s tuition. Applicants must attend Season 14 Showcase Auditions and fill out the talent application here and minority app here.
We strongly encourage early attendance as we will start promptly at the audition time and there are forms that need to be filled out during the sign in period.

Tuition is $100 per piece you are cast in. Auditing dancers owe $50 per piece for this training opportunity. If you have issues paying or need a payment plan, please contact us. Tuition is owed upon casting as you are now taking a spot from another dancer, and is non-refundable once paid and casting is complete. Tuition will be due by September 5 or there is a $10 late fee per week it is late, added each Friday.
